It's much more than a campus tour. Our Adventure Visits are designed to give prospective students and their families not only a taste of campus, but also a chance to see some of the Keweenaw Peninsula's most breathtaking sights.

Mont Ripley Adventure Visit - January 15, 2010

Take a campus tour, then join us at Mont Ripley, Michigan Tech’s very own ski hill. Whether you’re cruising down one of the advanced runs, testing out the terrain park, or hopping down the bunny hill, fun is a certainty.

Schedule of Events:

12:45	PM	Check into admissions
1:00	PM	Meeting with academic advisor (we’ll call you to set up the academic meeting of your choice)
2:00	PM	Presentation
2:30	PM	Campus tour
4:30	PM	Depart for Mont Ripley
5:00	PM	Dinner at Mont Ripley

Things to Bring:

Camera
Winter clothing (thick jacket, snowpants, hat, gloves/mittens, winter socks, goggles)
Skis/snowboard if you have your own (ski and snowboard rentals are available at Mont Ripley for a small fee)
Sense of adventure

Snowshoeing Adventure Visit - February 19, 2010

Check out campus on your tour, then explore some of our well over 30 kilometers of trails by snowshoe. After that, warm up by the fireplace in one of our residence halls with some hot cocoa.

9:15	AM	Check into admissions
9:30	AM	Presentation
10:00	AM	Campus Tour
Noon		Lunch with campus tour guide
1:00	PM	Meeting with academic advisor (we’ll call you to set up the academic meeting of your choice)
2:30	PM	Depart for Tech Trails
5:00	PM	Hot cocoa by fireplace in McNair Hall

Things to Bring:

Camera
Winter clothing (thick jacket, snowpants, hat, gloves/mittens, winter socks)
Boots capable of keeping your feet warm
Snowshoes if you have your own (snowshoes will also be available for use)
Sense of adventure
